Some of the most common problems seen by chiropractors are related to sedentary living.  Sitting stresses the spine significantly. Our spines are made to move!  With 24 moveable segments in the spine it is essential they each move through a full range of motion frequently.

Spinal Stress

Chiropractors are trained to detect and correct spinal stress.  Often the stress in the spine manifests as distortions called subluxations.  These subluxations  interfere with normal communication in the nervous system.  All of the functions of our body are controlled and coordinated by our brain and nervous system so it is crucial to keep this communication pathway patent.

In addition to regular checkups by a trained chiropractor, regular exercise directed at creating proper motion in the spinal joints will help keep you healthy. It is always important to consult a doctor regarding any exercise program.
