Chiropractic Assistant

We are looking for a motivated individual to assist Dr. Joel in running the administrative duties in the office.

Position Summary

  • Formal computer training, including working knowledge of Internet, knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Live Meeting, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Desktop publishing.
  •  Strong keyboarding skills, intermediate/advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and graphics presentation applications.
  • Friendly, outgoing, cheerful demeanor
  •  Advanced interpersonal communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Telephone techniques and etiquette.
  • Effective task management and problem solving skills.
  • Organized, efficient, process oriented.
  •  Records management.
  •  Self-motivated, team player, strong work ethic.
  •  Works well under pressure in a dynamic environment
  •  Experience providing administrative support
  • Tactful, exercises independent judgment and discretion – professional demeanor.
  •  Advanced phone system experience

 Position Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments, collect monies, answer telephones, and manage emails
  • Lead specific projects as assigned
  • Serve as a key point of office contact for all office appointments/meetings
  • Communicate with leaders, department employees, and business associates – communicate verbally, in writing – and maintain confidentiality
  • Assist with various marketing tasks
  • Perform light house-keeping within the office
  • Assist clinical providers with various therapy applications
  •  Multi-task and manage through issues proactively.
  •  Provide appropriate information to contacts (handle questions, issues and follow ups)
  •  Apply knowledge of business and department objectives and priorities
  •  Serve as an information resource on organizational practices, policies and procedures
  •  Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are applicable to the Department
  •  Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.
  •  Ability to work overtime and perform other duties, as needed.

 Basic Qualifications

  • Formal computer training, including working knowledge of Internet, knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint)
  •  Strong keyboarding skills, basic/intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database applications

Education Required

  • High school diploma or GED

Years of Experience

  • No requirement (training will be provided)

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer service
  • Social Media experience (Facebook, G+, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Previous experience supporting leadership with appointment scheduling
  • Records management
  • HIPPA Compliance training
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills (written & verbal).

  • Must be able to travel independently to office location

Required Hours

  • Negotiable based on availability
  • Ideally the front desk will be staffed during regularly scheduled office hours. (See sidebar or footer)
  • Additional hours available for various marketing activities, administrative work and miscellaneous activities such as light cleaning.

  • Starting wage is $12/hr (negotiable based upon experience).
